EV charger installation for businesses in Leeds
AC and DC commercial EV chargers, OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme grant applications and load-balancing design. Installed by NICEIC-approved electricians.
What commercial EV charger installation covers
Workplace EV charging for businesses, landlords and fleet operators across Leeds and West Yorkshire. From a single AC unit in a staff car park to a multi-bay DC fast-charging installation, all designed, installed, tested and certified by our NICEIC-approved team.
Charger types
AC (7-22 kW)
- 7.4 kW single-phase — most common for staff parking, ~30 miles of range per hour
- 22 kW three-phase — for higher-throughput visitor parking and fleet, ~80 miles per hour
DC (25 kW and above)
- 25-50 kW DC — taxi ranks, fleet hubs, customer-facing destinations
- 75-150 kW DC fast — destination charging on retail and hospitality sites
- 350 kW ultra-rapid — motorway-corridor and large-fleet sites (DNO upgrade often required)
What we deliver
- Site survey — assess existing supply, parking layout, cable routes, civils requirements
- Maximum demand assessment — confirm supply capacity, identify upgrade need
- DNO liaison — handle Northern Powergrid (or relevant DNO) application for supply upgrade if needed
- OZEV WCS application — handle the grant paperwork start to finish
- Install — chargers, cabling, containment, civils
- Commissioning — connection to OCPP back office if applicable
- Certification — BS 7671 EIC for the new circuits
- PPM — annual inspection and statutory test under contract
Load-balancing design
Most commercial premises can’t simply attach 10 EV chargers to the existing supply without upgrade — total demand exceeds the available headroom. Load-balancing distributes the available capacity dynamically across the chargers, so all units stay live without overloading the incoming supply. We design the load-balancing to your peak-demand pattern.

Frequently asked questions
What grants are available for commercial EV chargers?
The OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) covers up to 75% of installation costs, capped at £350 per socket and 40 sockets per applicant. We handle the WCS application as part of the install.
Do you install both AC and DC chargers?
Yes. AC (7-22 kW) for staff and visitor parking; DC fast/rapid for fleet or customer-facing locations. We recommend the right mix after a site survey.
Will my electrical supply support multiple chargers?
We carry out a maximum demand and supply-capacity assessment as standard. Where the existing supply is undersized, we coordinate with the DNO for an upgrade, or design load-balancing across the chargers.
Do you install chargers on multi-tenant car parks?
Yes — including the metering and back-office integration to bill tenants. We work with most major OCPP-compliant networks.
