Retail electrical contractor in Leeds
Shop fit-outs, lighting, EPOS power, alarms and ongoing testing for retail in Leeds. Out-of-hours work is included as standard — your store keeps trading while we work.
What retail electrical contracting covers
Retail is its own discipline. The fit-out window is short, the disruption tolerance is zero, and the lighting, EPOS and alarm requirements all live on top of each other. Our retail electrical contracting service covers the full spectrum: new fit-outs, store reconfigurations, lighting and signage, ongoing maintenance, and reactive callouts.
We work with single-store operators, regional multiples and national brands rolling out across West Yorkshire.
Why out-of-hours is included as standard
Retail customers cannot close to let an electrician in. So we work nights and weekends and price it that way from the start. There is no separate out-of-hours rate in our retail quotes — the price you see is the price you pay, whether the work happens at 11am or 3am.
For other sectors (office, industrial, education) out-of-hours is itemised separately because most of that work happens in business hours and out-of-hours is the exception. For retail, in-hours is the exception.

Frequently asked questions
Is out-of-hours work included or extra?
Included as standard for retail. Most of our retail fit-out and reconfiguration work happens overnight or on weekends so the store keeps trading. There is no separate out-of-hours rate to surprise you in the invoice.
Can you work to a centrally-specified store design?
Yes. We routinely work to head-office specifications for multiples, delivering the same store layout, lighting and EPOS power scheme across multiple branches in West Yorkshire.
Do you handle alarms and CCTV as well as power and lighting?
We handle the power supplies and cabling for alarm and CCTV systems, and work alongside specialist providers for the system commissioning. For straightforward IP CCTV we install end-to-end.
What certificates do we get?
Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) for the new work, emergency-lighting commissioning certificate where new emergency fittings are installed, plus the existing-circuit EICR if requested before tying new circuits in.
Can you respond to a fault in a live store?
Yes. Retail clients on a maintenance contract sit on a priority response list — same-day in working hours, 24/7 emergency callout for store-critical faults.
