What data cabling we install
Structured data cabling for commercial premises — the physical layer for IT, telephony, AV and building-controls networks. Installed in parallel with our electrical containment by the same site team, which keeps the build tight and the floor-box layouts coordinated.

- Cat 6 — for 1 Gbps premises with no upgrade plans inside 5 years
- Cat 6A — the default specification for new commercial installs. 10 Gbps over 100 m, suitable for 90% of office, retail and education builds
- Cat 7 / Cat 7A — where specified by client or for high-density data-centre adjacency
- OM3 / OM4 multimode fibre — for in-building backbone runs
- OS1 / OS2 singlemode fibre — for inter-building, campus and long-haul backbone
What we deliver
- Cabling runs — through containment installed by our electrical team
- Cabinets — wall-mount or floor-standing, with appropriate cable management
- Patch panels, faceplates, modules — colour-coded and labelled to the client’s scheme
- Active equipment supply — switches, media converters, when specified
- Patching — initial patching to the documented network design
- Testing and certification — channel test results from a Fluke Versiv or equivalent, PDF report

Frequently asked questions
What categories of structured cabling do you install?
Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 copper. OM3/OM4 multimode and OS1/OS2 singlemode fibre. All installs tested and certified to TIA/EIA-568 standards with a printed test report.
Do you provide cabinets and patching as well as cabling?
Yes. Cabinets, patch panels, switches (passive supply or specified active equipment), patching and labelling are all part of the install.
Can you install during normal business hours?
Yes for most builds. Containment and floor-box routes minimise visual and acoustic disruption. For hot-desk floors we schedule by zone.
Do you certify the install for warranty purposes?
Yes. Full channel test results in PDF for warranty registration with the cable manufacturer (typically a 25-year system warranty on Cat 6A and above).
